Rad Rocket Slippers
Your little astronaut will feel like a true cosmonaut when he or she slips on these Rad Rocket Slippers. With sizes ranging from newborn to toddler, this free crochet pattern works up quickly. This project uses two different colors of yarn to distinguish between the body of the rocket, and the nose and wings of the machine. These would make a unique birthday gift paired with some starry pajamas, and a movie or book about space.

I must have looked through the Socks and Slippers ideas a dozen times, but somehow I missed this clever little pair. With as many grandchildren as we have, their interests range all over the place but we can dependably plan on at least a few of them being enchanted by dinosaurs or space travel! I just need to ask the parents who is into what this Christmas.
