Why do I see a pop-down when I visit

When you visit for the first time, a pop-down screen asks you to enter your email address to join our FREE crochet community. If you have cookies enabled on your browser, you will only see the pop-down on your first visit. Many websites like Yahoo and CNN use cookies to enhance the visitor's experience. How do I submit my crochet pattern, tip or tutorial for publication?

See your patterns and crochet tips published on!  You can submit your original projects and tutorials by using our Share Your Project form.  Projects must include a photo and must be your own original creations.  Projects are reviewed by our editorial staff and are added based on timeliness, quality, and overall need on the site.  If/when your project is added, you will receive an email containing the link to your uploaded tutorial.  Use this form and submit your projects today!

How do I get a Designer Profile Page on AllFreeCrochet?

As a new feature on the site, we will be creating designer profiles for designers with two or more projects on the site. To see examples of what the profiles will look like, see the Crochet Designer profiles on We will need a short bio and photo. This is a great way to gain traffic to your blog or site! If you already have two or more projects and would like a profile, just contact us.

What are crochet eBooks?

AllFreeCrochet eBooks are free, downloadable crochet pattern collections organized around a theme. These eBooks are PDF documents that can be downloaded off our website, saved to your computer, and/or printed out for easy reference while crafting. We think eBooks are a great way to offer a free collection of crochet patterns and ideas to our users. For more advantages to eBooks, see our eBook Guide. One of our recent free eBook's was a great collection of crochet afghan patterns from Red Heart Yarn. You can find our latest collection of crochet eBooks here.

How do I download the eBooks?

Go to our Free Crochet eBooks page and click on the eBook that interests you. You will need Adobe to access our eBooks, but you can download a free copy of Adobe Reader from the Adobe website. How do I enter a crochet book review and/or product giveaway?

The editorial team loves giving away crochet products to our readers. Every Wednesday, we feature a new contest to win a crochet related prize.  These crochet books and products are reviewed by our testing team. You can enter the contest via the entry form on the contest page. See all current and upcoming giveaways here.

Weekly giveaways last two weeks. Winners are notified by email, and they have two weeks to send back their affidavits in order to claim the prize. Once those two weeks have passed we will pick a different winner. In addition to standard entry via the form on the contest page, we will give you an extra entry in the contest for EACH of the following items:
