From the directions page, a fan made a great suggestion to modify this a bit to use on a basic flip flop. I think that is a grand idea. We all do not have the luxury of living near or at the beach. I think these are just adorable and very appropriate for the hot days of summer.

I just love the play on words here. Did anyone else get it? Well I am a sucker for gladiator type sandals and on top of that I love to be barefoot so this design is the perfect fit for me. The colors here are really my style but I know I can find enough material here to make these today. Thanks for the pattern.

Not my idea of sandals, but as the name says Not Granny's Gladiator Barefoot Sandals. I love the pattern design and think it would make a great head band for myself. The colors can be your choice and maybe my teen grand daughter would like a set of these? Nice pattern to give a try. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet sandals pattern.

My teen crafters are going to love working these up, and with their young eyes, they shouldnt have any problems working with the #10 crochet thread. Its beginning to get a little challenging for me, even with the new bifocals. Since you could classify these as foot jewelry I think Im going to pass the link on to my niece, Hannah. She loves new ideas for her Etsy store.

I give this two thumbs up for such a beautiful and unique crochet pattern. It leaves plenty of room for your own creative ideas to bloom, because if you really aren't fond of the colors she chose-and I don't know why you wouldn't be- you pick your own favorites. Boho chich colors... mint, pale coral or peach, and ivory would be stunning as well, paired with some frayed jean shorts!
