"Easy to slip on and nearly impossible to get off, this hooded cowl is the perfect option for any little one in your life. Add the ears to make it ridiculously cute while also being ridiculously functional. Kids and animal ears are a great combination. Make using either bulky yarn or two strands of your favorite worsted weight, this project is quick and fun to work up. This pattern calls for size 6.5mm (K) crochet hook or whatever size you need to use to achieve gauge."

There are so many wonderful bulky variegated yarns available out there, I would almost think you could use one of those as an easy substitute. You won't be able to get a specific and noticeable stripe, but there are lots of other animals this hood can transform into, as well, besides a raccoon. If you use the two strands of regular worsted weight yarn, you work with both colors- carrying the non-working color along the back as you go. Super cute!

My kids were all blessed with way too much imagination. As a young child, my son T refused to acknowledge his human family until we could correctly guess what animal he had magically transformed into overnight. Not only would he never have taken this cowl off, but he would have demanded several other interesting versions. Grandparent curseMay you have children EXACTLY like yourself. Im happy to report that they have.
