34 Free Crochet Monster Patterns

With Halloween being one of the most popular holidays, it's interesting how much art is inspired by things we fear. Here on AllFreeCrochet, there are a lot of crochet patterns inspired by little monsters of all sorts. Then this collection of 34+ Free Crochet Monster Patterns was born.

Some of these patterns are cute, some a little frightening, but mostly very silly. We've even got some movie monsters thrown in there!

There are crochet baby hat patterns and crochet hat patterns for children to dress them up a little for Halloween without making a whole costume. Baby crochet patterns like loveys, crochet baby booties, and bibs are also monster-ific! If you're looking for Halloween crochet, there's a lot in this list but many of the projects work year-round, too.

We've also got amigurumi crochet patterns and crochet toys that look like little monsters. Because the kids go back to school in the fall, we've got some scary good crochet school stuff, too. We especially like Cookie Monster inspired patterns -- can you find them all?

Crochet Monster Hat Patterns

These little monsters are just too cute to pass up! Any baby (or adult) would look so cute dressed up with one of these hat crochet patterns during Halloween. You'll keep their small heads covered and see other people's heads turning to look at your crochet masterpiece.

They're really great themed school stuff, though! If you and your kids have a fun sense of humor or like to embrace horror themes, then you'll love some of these little monsters.

This is the best. It has so many different things for use in different ways. I have three grand sons and they are very young so I love making them crochet toys so they won't hurt themselves, or anyone else. I love the minions and I can embroider their names on each so no fighting!

If you love collections like I do, dont wait until Halloween to explore all the offerings the one has! These cuties are good for any time of year. I especially love the amigurumi and toy patterns because as a grandma, Im always in need of birthday gifts. I have more grandsons than granddaughters, and they pretty much love monsters, even the older ones.
