I love the combination of pink and gray used in this Chevron Crochet Hook Case. The chevron used in the edge of the case is so artistic. Although for the case of the hooks itself, I wanted it to be more secure, holding the hooks tighter taking care not to let them fall because they could be dangerous. Anyway for the veteran crocheters out there, you can make your own modification to suit your specifications.

I have to agree with JaneEK below, I am liking this pattern, but think it would be better with a pouch for each crochet hook. It wouldn't be hard to make, just single crochet a sheet the same size and whip stitch to create single slots for your hooks. I have saved this one and will add my own idea for the hook holder. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern idea.

The overall look of the case is nice, but I have some real issues with how the hooks are retained. That simple chain arrangement is just not going to be enough. I would take a cue from my blade drill bit pouch instead. A nice pocket holds the bottom of the bits while the upper section is held by a separate elastic. The crocheted chain could easily work in place of the elastic.
