Grape Cordial Crochet Basket
Grape Cordial Crochet Basket

This crochet basket pattern from our friends at Red Heart yarns has a sturdy construction and stylish leather handles. The Grape Cordial basket is an easy pattern that's worked up in the round, and the yarn it's worked up in is more like a cord than string, helping the basket keep its shape. Choose a color that would match your decor and crochet your own basket that's stylish and simple and begging to be displayed.

This is an attractive little basket that can be used to hold almost anything. I only which my yarn stash was this small, lol. The addition of the little leather straps is a great detail that I have not seen before. I guess I can find that in my local craft store as well.

So the name Cordial, as in Red Heart Cordial yarns, actually comes from the fact that the yarn is less of a yarn and more of a cording. Neat! This will prepare your basket for ultimate storage duty that will stand up to almost anything. Right? Right. I can see throwing my remotes, a magazine, and drink coasters in there- and keeping it on the bottom shelf of my coffee table. It truly is suitable for beginners. Probably the most different thing you will have to be able to do is the leather straps, punching the holes, and attaching the rivets. Have fun!

I love the look of this crocheted basket. It will be a pretty storage container in any room. I can picture it in many different colors. My initial reaction is that it would be such a pretty floral arrangement container when using a plastic basket liner. What a perfect gift, first fresh flowers then a storage piece to be used permanently. An awl would work best for punching the holes into the leather straps

This is a really nice basket. The studded leather handles really sets it apart from most other similar croceted projects. Im probably not going to work it up in the purple though as that wouldnt match anything in my house. But I can see it worked up in a variety of other earthtone colors. I tend to favor neutrals so Im not stuck with only one area of my house. You can find this project here http//www.redheart.com/free-patterns/bricks-basket

After reading the directions, I agree that it is easy and should work up quickly. I want to make it for my daughter in law who just had twin baby boys. So hers will be in blue. She needs something to keep the things for the babies near her recliner. Pacifiers, little rattles, wipes, things like that. Right now she has them in an old tissue box. What a great Christmas present, thank you!

Wow this is a gorgeous Grape Cordial Crochet Basket. I love this pattern, that is very well written and sounds easy enough to make even though I have never tried making one before. I have a daughter who is collecting baskets and this would look great in her collection. Thank you for sharing this free Grape Cordial Crochet Basket pattern.

I made this basket for some of my extra yarn and I love it. It was fun and easy for me...I have only been cricheting for a year and a half. #BestIdeaEver
