Sunflower Granny Square
Bring a little bit of nature indoors with this colorful Sunflower Granny Square crochet pattern. The bright colors of this granny square will remind you of a lovely spring garden. It's an intermediate crochet pattern that's created by crocheting continually from flower to square bed. Make a magic circle to get started. The slip stitch is also used to work up this crocheted flower granny square. You can also make a daisy by simply crocheting fewer petals and using white yarn instead of yellow.

Wow. I love this. Although it looks tedious to make, it can be done where there's a will. This can be painstakingly done if you are really really crazy about doing this square then forming it into one beautiful afghan. That would be the day!

I'm a Kansan so this flower... the sunflower has a special place in my heart! I decorate my home in the summer with the sunflower motiff so I have many pieces. I don't however have any crochet work soooo this one may be the first. I will change it up a bit but only in the colors. I'll use Red Heart Super Saver colors-- bright yellow, gold, hunter green, guava and then set it together with white. It's going to be wonderful! Thanks for the pattern!

I used a sunflower motif in my kitchen dcor for decades and to this day, my grown children will paint their kitchens any color but yellow. Ive moved on to daisies and yellow gingham now, but I still have a soft spot for this summer annual. I love how the flower itself is crocheted separately and not dependent on the rest of the square. The result is a very nice appliqu. The daisy version is wonderful, too.

I really like the three dimensional effect of this pattern. It would add a nice touch to an afghan and also as a potholder or washcloth. You don't need a lot of yarn to make it as well. Thank you.

With this link you not only get the sunflower granny square pattern, you also get a daisy granny square pattern. These squares are so colorful and make me think of spring. Both of these flowers are perfect to use in a kitchen or bathroom for dish cloths or wash cloths or even a couple of pot holders.

Tried to get this sunflower pattern, but couldn't. Maybe some other day the page will open for me. It looks very pretty and I'd like to be able to make it.

Hi there, The link for the pattern has changed, as the designer moved to a different website. If you click the link again, though, it will redirect you to the correct page for the granny square pattern. Hope that helps! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet
