The Pinwheel is one of my favorite quilt block squares, so I was delighted to find a crochet version. This pattern is based on a simple granny, but Ill want to play around with one of the little squares to see if I want to cut the yarn at each change as the designer did. I do, however, already use the trick of knotting the tails together. My sister in law loves to quilt so I would love to make a few of these for her.

If you love crocheting granny squares, you will enjoy working on this granny square pinwheel afghan square! Look at all the triangles in this square. You can opt to sew a button in the middle of the square or just leave it off. Always new ways to improve on the granny square stitch!
