Sun and Sand Bucket Hat
Sun and Sand Bucket Hat

"This baby sun hat is perfect for beginners and a quick project for any skill level. The hat is worked in the round using a 4.25 mm (G) hook and 120 yards of 100% worsted weight cotton yarn. Add contrasting colors for stripes. The pattern includes four sizes: 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-3 years, and 3-10 years so you'll be able to make one for every kid in the neighborhood! This is a written pattern so a basic understanding of pattern reading is required."

NotesMy grandson is particularly sensitive to the sun so I was looking for the perfect hat to shade his eyes, but give him the freedom to look around, too. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. So, I created this hat just for him and he loves it so much I made it in all the colors. I hope you find your kiddo loves it too!

The bad news is that the free pattern for this adorable hat is no longer available at the above link. The good news is that the designers main website is still active. She does has a tab for her Free Pattern Library, but in order to gain access to them, you are required to subscribe. I am curious about her mentoring business though. Has anyone here used her services?

Oh no! I'm not sure what happened to the link, but the pattern is still available free on the Crochetpreneur blog. You an find it here https//crochetpreneur.com/simple-kids-sun-hat-croc == het-pattern/ and I'd love to chat with you about my services for crochet business owners. Feel free to connect in the Crochet Collective FB group at www.facebook.com/groups/crochetpreneurs

Hi there, we have updated the link to this pattern, and it should be working now. Sorry for the inconvenience! - Editors of AllFreeCrochet

This is so cute. And after reading the directions, I found it very easy. I have twin grand sons so what ever I make, I have to make two. So when I find a great easy project like this, I am a very happy camper. Thank you sharing this very nice pattern.

I'm glad you found the pattern. Have fun making these for your grandsons!
