This one is my favorite cowl patterns do a crochet item for my daughter-in-laws and granddaughters for Christmas. This year I was cowls for the daughter-in-laws. The fun part of making them was the different color ones I made. Their favorite football team, for one, favorite color, black, for another, and a conservative one for the last. I start crocheting in October for Christmas gifts and usually end up just finishing in time for Christmas but these were done in record time!

Love this pattern. I made it for every female on my list this year for Christmas. I made some longer, some shorter, some wider, and some narrower. Everyone loved them.

Can someone explain the Rows 2, 3, 4, where say skip st and Dc in each Sc around? Thank you.

"Ch 2, (counts as first Dc), skip st and Dc in each Sc around." This simply means after you Ch 2, you do nothing with the very next stitch. Just "skip" it. Then do the DC (as in Rows 2 & 4) or HDC (as in Rnd 3) in each of the remaining SC around to the end or marker. Do the same thing any time you see it written that way. I hope this helps! Edna
