Rainbow Stripe Crochet Blanket

"Create a rainbow afghan with wide stripes of colour - quick to crochet and a great 'next step' project for a beginner as they get more practice. Rather than having to join squares, this pattern is worked row by row. This pattern will work with any yarn and could easily be adapted to any colour scheme. You could also adjust the length of the rows to make it as a baby blanket in pastel rainbow colours instead."

Easy

Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I have always had trouble remembering the rule of thumb or how many stitches to chain up when you are turning at the end of a row. Her tips are very helpful and I will try to remember them. This is one of those blankets that really isnt precise. Just keep crocheting until you are happy with the size.
