Rather than having to join squares, this pattern is worked row by row. This pattern will work with any yarn and could easily be adapted to any colour scheme. I have always had trouble remembering the rule of thumb or how many stitches to chain up when you are turning at the end of a row. Her tips are very helpful and I will try to remember them. This is one of those blankets that really isnt precise. Just keep crocheting until you are happy with the size.
