The Trinity Stitch is new to me. I haven't tried it yet but I'm gonna do that soon. I like the appearance though of this Grandma's Lap blanket. It's compact and dense.

I have never used the Trinity stitch so this is one of the reasons why I am looking forward to working up this pattern for 'Grandma's Lap Blanket'. I think these lap blankets would make great gifts, including car blankets for the kids on those cold winter mornings or long car trips.

If you are in need to give a special gift, weather to an elderly loved one or any loved one in your life, this pattern is the one. Not too small, yet not too big. It is the perfect gift. The stich creates a solid blanket to keep one warm and cozy.

I have been crocheting for a while and I am never amazed when I run across a new stitch. I have never heard of the Trinity Stitch but it sure does make a beautiful design. Couple that with the self striping yarn and you have a match made in heaven.

What a nice twist on a basic, a classic afghan. Why work it up in a simple single crochet when you can tweak it with three single crochets together and skips, and come up with a beautifully textured piece with much more meaning? Do you love the Caron Cakes yarns? I know I do! They have taken the guess work out of deciding what colors go together!

I appreciate the Trinity Stitch video tutorial. It really is quite simple and the texture that comes forth out of that design is delicious to say the least. I like to make lap blankets and store them away and give them to charity in the winter season. I never make more than two alike.

I love the look of this Grandma's Lap Blanket! Just reading the written pattern makes me want to make this. I think this one will be the next one on my list of must make. It will make a great gift for my ageing mother. Looking forward to making this one that will be a easy one to whip up with the easy stitches. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet lap blanket.
