"This week on the blog there has been a Fishing Net Blanket and a Mermaid Baby blanket, so let's keep that theme going with now a Marvelous Mermaid Tail Blanket. The Mermaid Blanket is designed for older children (about 3-12 years). This blanket is fun to make and bulky projects are quick projects too. Do you know of a little girl who would love to be a mermaid and can do that while being comfortable snuggled up reading a book or watching tv? The Mermaid Blanket uses basic crochet stitches to make this design."

The Charisma yarn is a great choice for this mermaid tail blanket! I like that it is roomy and slouchy and that you use a measuring tape to get specific measurements. You could tailor it to you size. I know plenty of adults who would love to lounge in a blanket like this. It seems super easy to make. I bet I could whip one up in a week or less.

I love this Marvelous Mermaid Tail Blanket.. There are so many patterns out there for this type of blanket and they use up so much yarn that it can cost up to a $100.00 to make. With this one using super bulky yarn, it shouldn't cost so much. I also like that it used the Treble Stitch to help it go quicker. I have saved this one and when I get the next 50% off coupon I will be buying the yarn to make this. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet blanket pattern.
