This Celtic Knot Pin would be great to pin on your winter coat as a brooch or as a pin to fasten a spring/summer shawl. The green is a tribute to the green lands of Ireland but I am sure this would also be very pretty in just about every color of the rainbow.

I am not sure which part of this pattern is prettier. The backing on its own is also pretty and could be used separately just like the knot. I have not a drop of Irish blood but I can appreciate this beautiful Celtic Knot.

Although my Scots grandmother was loath to admit it, we have some Irish in our ancestry. That might explain why I feel drawn to these intricate woven designs. Working the band itself is easy and the designer has provided a printable guide to weaving it into the correct shape. Its not difficult, but I was very happy to see the directional arrows showing how to work this classic design. It can be a bit confusing.

Dont know how I missed this accessories section on your site before, but I now have a new place to search for patterns. My family is not of Irish heritage, but this would make a great little item to have and to wear on Saint Patricks Day so you dont get that awfully painful pinch!
