Crochet Leg Lamp Wine Bottle Cozy

This Crochet Leg Lamp Wine Bottle Cozy is not nearly as “fra-gee-lay” as the source of inspiration for this whimsical piece! The leg lamp in A Christmas Story is duly honored in this pattern, as is your sense of humor! You’re sure to be a hit at your next dinner party when you offer your host a bottle of cabernet dressed in this little number! Show up with this cozy and your friends won’t care about the vintage or the price of the wine; but remember, “it must be Italian!”

So for those of you that can appreciate this you know just how priceless this is. The first time I saw the movie from which this hails, I was in stitches. The scene about the lamp is priceless because as a wife I know just how she felt. I could handle a lamp if it were in this size, lol - shm.

This would be a show stopper if I arrived with a bottle of vin-o wrapped up in this wine bottle cozy. I know the perfect time and place for this. We have Secret Santa at my office and I think this will be one of the gifts I give. I just love this cozy. I better get started now just to be sure I have it made. The directions show that it is intermediate so I may be coming back to post for help if needed.

What a wonderful idea for a hostess or other gift. Even if the recipient doesnt drink wine, this clever project could still be used over a bottle of sparkling grape or apple juice. This is a fiddly project because there are so many parts, but its guaranteed to be a conversation starter. Best of all, once the bottle is consumed, it can be passed on to another. This would be a great seller at a craft fair, too.
