I am confused about the hook size at the beginning of the pattern it calls for a D/3 or 3.5 mm but in the Materials Needed it has 3 different sizes non of which are a D one is a 2.1 mm (US 3) for small, a 2.5 mm (US 0), than a 2.7 mm (US 00) so what do I use?

Those colors are great and this pattern is awesome. I love the boho look and this would be just perfect to accessorize a few casual outfits that I like to wear that need a little extra something. I think that I will try this with one of the new Caron cakes or similar yarns to see what look I get.

I would have loved for any instructional photos to have been included with this design. I am a visual learning and it helps me to see more than just written words. I took the time to read the directions and for the most part they are clear to follow. This item appears to be worked as a circle. I think I will try this but with yarn just to see how it goes.

Wow! This is beautiful. I love this and I really want one or two of these, lol. There are a lot of steps. I was really surprised to see that this design is made with crochet thread. So I know that this item will be a light weight clothing article. I am in love with the color as well. Shopping for the materials now.

Very pretty and even though it says intermediate, after reading the directions, I don't think it's very hard at all. It's such a well written pattern that I think anyone could be able to make it. And the instructions are right there on the front, no need to go searching for it.

I have seen and admired tons of similar patterns everywhere lately. Vests that start with a motif in the back have been very popular this summer, but most have been paid patterns, so it is nice to see a free one .I like that it uses the bamboo thread, also, since bamboo is one of my favorite types of yarn to work with, since it usually has a lovely sheen.

I'm really intrigued by these circle vests as I call them. They are worked in the round and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It gives a nice point of interest from behind. That's just inherent to the design of the pattern. I haven't used Aunt Lydia's threads/lace yarns in many years! What lovely colors! It seems easy enough to make. I like how we are given the pattern directly above- that is convenient!

I found the pattern to be fairly easy to follow til I got to round 42. I came up with 24 peaks and the pattern said 16. Ripped out and did it again and still had 24. Can you explain this? My email is jgrigg@camtel.net.

I am working on the Rippling vest pattern. I have found it in print a few places, but I can't find my answer. I am stuck on round 4 Ch 4, skip first dc, tr5tog (petal made), ch 13, tr6tog (petal made), ch 13 repeat from around join with slip st in first tr5tog8 petals and 8 ch-13 spaces. When you are working on the tr6tog, it doesn't state how many DC you skip because you start the next on. I tried 1 DC as stated with the first tr5tog, but that isn't enough. Skipping 13 DC doesn't work either Hope you can answer for me

read next one down, put comment on wrong one this is old post you probally already fiqure this out !!!

I would love to see this vest made with a heavier yarn, perhaps worsted. It's lovely but I don't see myself making it in lace weight.

on round 4 the 5tog is done in each stitch 1 for 1 then draw a loop through all.not all in one stitch that's a popcorn stitch only do 5tog
