Crochet Gingham Picnic Blanket Afghan

"This crochet gingham picnic blanket afghan is made using durable cotton yarn and is perfect for outdoor summer play at the park, beach, or anywhere you love to adventure! It is worked in the C2C technique with many small blocks sewn together - don't worry I have a video tutorial with the pattern if you are new to the technique! The pattern of gingham hearkens back to the days of yesteryear for me. I can remember gingham summer dresses when I was a little girl and I always loved them because they were such bright colors and cool to wear. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

As of to date, I have not created any projects with the c2c or corner to corner crochet method. I did however make a swatch because I was interested in knowing if I could work the design. I am a little shy when it comes to changing colors so that is the biggest reason I have yet to complete a pattern. This may be the perfect opportunity to perfect the stitch so that I will be ready to incorporate color changes. Thanks for the free pattern.

First the designer had me at gingham, and then to find out its all worked as Corner to Corner! Okay, time to check the yarn stash for the right colors! This is a nice portable project, too, since you need to work up 20 of each color so no need to haul around the entire basked of yarn. The assembly is thoroughly explained and the designer also provides a handy chart. As for Emmashes very pretty and Ill bet she knows it, too.

Picnic blankets add such great atmosphere to an outdoor occasion, even if it is just outside in your own yard. Spread a gorgeous picnic blanket out on the ground and just see how quickly people, children and adults alike, are drawn to it, lol! And who would not be drawn to this lovely and simply inviting example and it is Easy to make too. I have already begun to make ours, in colors chosen by the children, and we are going to love using it in our garden in the summer.

This gingham picnic blanket afghan is awesome. Thank you so much for this free pattern. I just love working with cotton yarn, but have never made an afghan using it until now because I am most certainly going to make one of these to take to work to have lunch on outside on warm days.

OMG. I love this afghan's monochromatic appeal!. I would like to do this. Here's the link to the pattern and video tutorial for this awesome picnic afghan http//www.sewrella.com/2016/04/crochet-gingham-pic == nic-blanket.html.

I love this! I've always wanted a picnic blanket but could never find one I liked enough. This is great. )

Wow, thank you so much for this pattern and I must say I could never understand how to do the corner to corner crochet before. The video is so great, and now I know how to do it and it looks like so much fun to do. I will do it now for sure. The pattern is well written now that I know how to do it. Thank you so much for this free pattern and video how to.
