Scrubby Mitt

search

"Use your worsted weight cotton yarn to make this ribbed scrubby mitt, handy to use in the kitchen or bath. Makes a really nice gift - it’s never too early to start on holiday making! Pattern is worked back and forth flat, and all single crochets are worked in the back loop only to give it a nice ribbed texture. You’ll be making 4 pieces and constructing them as the pattern shows, but, no worries, there are pictures to help you along. Merry Making!"

This mitt looks awesome! It does look like a puppet, and if you add accessories such as eyes and a tongue, it really could be a puppet! Imagine giving your kids a bath with this cute mitt with a face on it! I bet they would love it. It would also be an amazing housewarming gift, for the kitchen or the bath!

This clamshell shaped mitt just begs for some features and a new life as a bath puppet. My career in puppetry began with a library book in the fourth grade, so I cant help seeing possibilities in a shape like this. If you want something a little more appealing to an adult, how about embellishing the top with some fantasy flowers instead? Or work the outer layer in cotton and the inner layer in Scrubby yarn?
