Tunisian Crochet is a form of crochet that combines knitting and crochet to create beautiful fabric. Popular Tunisian Crochet stitches mimic knitted and woven fabric. These stitches can be used to create light and airy fabric or thick and dense fabric.

The Tunisian Basketweave Stitch can be used to create a fabric that is both thick and very warm. Especially with a bulky weight yarn, this stitch becomes perfect for a blanket that can be used on the coldest of days to stay cozy.

- This pattern is worked flat with the right side of the work facing.
- Do not turn your work at the beginning of each row. Each row is worked from right to left (forward pass) and then from left to right
- At the beginning of each row, the first stitch is on the hook and counts as a Tunisian knit stitch.

How To Work Into The Last Stitch Of The Row (Counts as a Tunisian knit stitch):

  1. Tilt the work toward you and look for the last 2 vertical bars at the end of the row. (image 1)
