Granny Square Thanksgiving Turkey

Crochet turkeys aren't exactly hard to find. I doubt that many of them are like this Granny Square Thanksgiving Turkey, though! The granny squares come in as the feathers of this fun Thanksgiving table decoration idea. The body is worked up separately, and then each granny square is attached to the back of it to fan out like feathers. This nifty crochet turkey pattern is so different and unique, especially with the fun face it looks like it's making! Your kids will definitely have fun with this Thanksgiving crochet pattern.

Very symbolic, this granny square thanksgiving turkey. I like the colors used which combine the colors of Halloween and fall.

This project will be perfect for my senior ladies! They already know how to work a Granny Square, and while the amigurumi portion might be new to a few of them, its still something we can work up in a single class or two. I might just focus on the turkeys body for class, and give them the squares as homework.

I do have a lot of fall decor that I use every year but I cannot resist adding to the mix when I find a cute project like this one. This is too cute and because Granny Squares are being used, I know I can get this project done in little or no time at all.

Such a cute Thanksgiving decoration. Granny squares are so versatile and here they are again used by a creative crafter to inspire us all to make some homemade decorations for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Now how cute is this? It is one of the easiest patterns I have found for a turkey. Yet so colorful. I think he would look perfect on my door wreath or as a center piece on my thanksgiving table. I could make matching place mats minus the turkey too. Thank you
