It's so nice to find a pattern from the UK. Everything on my Kindle Fire seems to be aimed at the US market. It can be so frustrating to order a pattern from Amazon etc, and then not be able to get the correct wool. So, thank you for a UK pattern.

looks like fun

Do you have videos for these patterns. It would be so much easier to work from a video. I don't understand written directions. I do understand printed patterns though. I love these slippers and want to make some for my daughters but I can't seem to understand the directions. Thanks you.

This is very impressive.I am glad that I came on to this site and hope that by the grace of God I will use it well. Thank you very much . God bless you .

After reading the instructions again, I see that there is NOTHING about the sole!

I'm pretty sure that these instructions are from the U.K. Their stitches are a little different from ours in the U.S. Such as: dc = sc, htc = hdc, tr = dc, dtr = trc, ss = sl st, skip/miss = sk, tension = gauge. Even the yarn is different -- 2 ply/baby = lace, 3 ply/baby = sock, 4 ply/baby = fingering/3 ply, 5 ply/lightweight = 3 ply, 8 ply/dk = sport weight, aran/10 ply = worsted, triple knit = heavy worsted 4 ply, bulky = super chunky, chunky = bulky. The hooks are metric in UK (which is printed on our US hooks), Hope this helps anyone wanting to make these beautiful slippers.

I have a box of antique patterns of great grandmothers patterns that have these same mysterious patterns..I love these old timey patterns..I have one for such a cute pair of gloves..you know the fancy ones worn in the 20's-50's...

THE BEDROOM SLIPPERS ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT I HAVE BEEN CROCHETING SCENCE 1969 AND THIS IS THE MOST CONFUSING PATERN I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS. YES IT HAS STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS BUT WITH OUT PICTURES SHOWING HOW TO CONECT IT TOGETHER ITS USELESS IF YOU CAN CLEAR THIS UP I WOULD LIKE TO TRY MAKING THEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW OR IF ANYONE ELSE OUT FIGURED THEM OUT COULD YOU PLEASE CONTACT ME (IN_MEMORY_OF_JESSE@YAHOO.COM)

Please tell me how to get patern for bedroom slippers I do not have a machine with paper only a computer. I am also a beginer crochetter. Thankyou. e.Jennings

This is kinda' like the one I was looking for. shirley J.

I think the problem with the pattern is that it looks like there is supposed to another crocheted piece for the 'sole' (or maybe it's supposed to be made from cloth). If that were included, it would make sense.

Im sure glad patterns are written clearer now a days! I went and looked at many of these antique patterns, they are all rather unclear. But very beautiful. where would you buy the "1 pair quilted satin soles" for most of these.

the coolest things

I'VE BEEN CROCHETING SINCE 1972 AND THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS CLEAR AS MUD! I WILL NOT BE TRYING TO FLOLLOW SUCH CONFUSING INSTRUCTIONS...SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOOK AT THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND "CLEAN THEM UP"!

yes

I tried to make these slippers, but gave up because the directions were very confusing. I am an experienced crocheter.
