She says that we can use any weight yarn we want and of course adjust our hook size bigger... but with a pretty and delicate design like this one, why sacrifice the look? I say stick with the fingering weight yarn! It will have phenomenal drape and you will be able to really see all of the intricate stitches- which are only single and double crochets!
