Janet, I am not sure where you would find the patterns that call for string material. I know my grandmother made a lot of hot pads with this material. Have you thought about finding a pattern you like, and just using the string anyway? or maybe using more than one strand of it?

I am looking for a pattern that you crocket with string material to make Hot Pads. I have looked every where for this pattern but have not found one yet.... I was hoping you could Help me....

I'm fairly new at crocheting and had a lot of trouble with this pattern. Finally gave up. Would like to hear from those with more experience...

Hi Pamela, I am so sorry, I don't get notified when a comment is left, so I will try to be more careful about checking. I have a youtube channel, I'm, "Dragonflymomof2boys" there, link below. If you can let me know what trouble you are having, I am more than willing to make a video. I might just work on that this week. There is a video for my New Years square which is done similar to this. https://www.youtube.com/user/Dragonflymomof2boys
