This is a nice simple potholder, and the designer give it extra interest by alternating working the Single Crochet stitches into the Front and Back Loops Only. That gives what would be a very ordinary, uninteresting project a bit of interest. She also jazzes things up by using a variegated yarn. If you want to use a solid color to match a particular dcor, you could still use a contrasting yarn for the border.

why did my pattern not print ???

Hi Betswain73, We suggest that you go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. Another option is to highlight exactly what you would like to be printed. Then, select print from your dropdown menu, and change your print range from all to selection. -- Editors of AllFreeCrochet

I think the red/white yarn is pretty, but it's difficult to see the stitch pattern in the image above.

I worked this up this morning and I love it! It was easy, worked quickly and turned out beautifully. I plan on making it part of a kitchen set as a housewarming gift for my sister. 5 *s!!!
