What a cool idea! Don't we all have those types of ice packs sitting in our freezer right now, and don't we all grab a wash cloth or face cloth and try to hold the cloth on the ice pack while we are using it? It becomes a bother and an inconvenience to say the least. I love that I can make this little ice pack pouch in a cute color and have something functional. Thanks for sharing this with us!

This is one of those items that you dont think about having until you need one. I frequently use a cold pack on my neck. A cover for a cold pack in a must if you want to avoid cold burns. You need to be aware of how tight your stitches are and how thick your yarn is though. If you make your cover too thick, or the stitches too tight, the cold wont get through it enough to be effective.

I really like this idea for a cold or hot bag to relieve someone's pain. This would make for a nice gift too. It has to be a great way to use up yarn stash plus a good addition to a craft table for a crocheting crafter. One or two would be a nice gift for a family, especially with children who are active in sports, I'd think.

Ive made plenty of Boo Boo Bunnies in my day, so I was already familiar with the concept. This pillow case is constructed a little differently, and I must say the changes are a vast improvement over many other bags Ive seen. The ties are attached and the edging worked on the SIDE of the work rather than the top. This case will work equally well for a hot rice bag, too.

I love this Ice Pack Pillowcase pattern. The like above took me right to the writers page with the pattern there, no need to pay or go to another page to get the pattern. This pattern is well written and easy to follow. I like this idea for wrapping up a bag of frozen veggies to use as a ice pack. I have made a few bags us wrap my hot rice bags but never thought of using them for ice bags. ?? What too me so long to find this?? Looking forward to whipping up a few of these in different sizes. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This pattern is available free via Ravelry. Make sure you have a Ravelry account in order to be able to get the items at no cost. This sure beats doing things the old-fashioned way of wrapping a wash cloth around a bag of frozen peas to keep it away from direct contact with the skin.
