"I designed this hat crochet pattern to match the Mentor Chunky Cowl. I used Red hearts new yarn called Soft Essentials It is a super soft chunky yarn. It has a pretty sheen to the yarn that makes it look almost like satin. It crochet 's up nicely too. It works perfectly for this New Hat design. With bulky yarn and a K size hook, this project can easily be worked up in an evening while watching your favorite television show. You start with standard ribbing, then build the hat up from there. I love the big, chunky holes in the body of the hat! Ill have to pick up the matching cowl pattern, too. This would be a great set to have for yourself or give to a friend.
