What a perfect pattern to have on hand for a quick warm gift for whomever! This way I won't have to hunt around but can tailor make it from this pattern. I appreciate that you've included the dimensions as well as the age on the child's hat. I'm not too big on pompoms so I'll probably leave that off, but I may look around on here and see what I could a flower!

Pattern Question - Shape Top: I'm making the woman's size. First round says: Ch 1, dec, sc in next 12 sc, dec, sc in next sc 4 times; join. I started with 68 sc, and am supposed to end with 60 sc. There are only 4 dec's - which means I should have 46 sc - not 60. Thus the following rounds won't come out right.

This looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.

i've been looking for something like this !
