My sister lives in Middle Tennessee and it can get plenty cold, so this hat is a great idea! This one starts at the brim and works up toward the crown. The only real issue I can see is working the 99 Single Crochet along the sides of the ribbing. It might be a good idea to count the spaces after stitching it together before starting on that part. Lets just say Ive pulled out many a stitch before I learned to do that step.
