Native American Fish Themed Granny Square
This Native American Fish-Themed Granny Square is a granny square pattern for the more advanced crocheter. Utilizing stitches such as the double crochet spike stitch, this free crochet pattern produces a uniquely-framed fish-themed granny square. If you don't want to have as much empty space in your granny square as the tutorial promises, there's also an option to stitch a more hexagonal-shaped piece that's a more filled in granny square. Turn these colorful Native American themed pieces into a one-of-a-kind afghan.

Because I have Native American background I find this Granny Square very interesting. I can see where the fish theme would be very popular. I like the way it is portrayed--all the fish pointed toward the middle of the pattern with the button for an eye. The double crochet spike stitch is a new one for me and I would not consider myself at the "advanced" level yet so I will keep this one on my "to aspire to" list and keep advancing on my skill set.
