Maybe I did not scroll down far enough on Moogly's page, but I really was dying to see what it looks like on a baby's head. This style hat makes a small point on either side of the top of the head, for cute little added style. Great as classic blue for boys and pink for girls, would be my favorite way of using this pattern for charity. It is for newborns! Love -)

Im not overly fond of this style hat as it reminds me of a flat bag. But it is one of the easiest patterns for teaching beginners since there arent any increases, decreases, or other challenging stitches. About the hardest thing is working the single crochet across the top of the hat together, and that can be swapped out for a blanket or whipstitch. Ive seen many versions of this hat where animal features are added, and the corners become ears.

I have 9 month old twin grandsons. This will be perfect for them. I think dark blue with off white pompoms for one and off white with dark blue pompoms for the other. It's like them, alike but different. They will look adorable in this. Thank you so much for sharing this very easy pattern.

I like how unique this hat is! Anything with poms is instantly adorable to me. I also love the contrast of the white poms with the dark blue color of the hat.
