You can make free crochet afghan patterns year round which is why I love them. I'm making an afghan in panels and then stitching them all together; I started in the winter and slowly but surely it's coming along. You can use afghans any time of year; in the freezing winter to keep warm or in the summer when your air conditioning is on you can still bundle up.

Every time I walk past the baby section in a store I can't help but stop and look at all the tiny things.
