This is a simple necklace with a lot of possibilities. The pattern directions are easy to read and should work up easily. My intentions are to make a lot of them in different colors.

Before I had my sons, I thought I was pretty crafty. However having small children in the home does not leave a lot of time for hobbies. Now that my boys are out of the house I have traded in my kitchen science hobbies for crochet and I am loving these free patterns. I plan on making several of these to go with different outfits.

As is, this simple pattern would be a great accessory to a Catrina costume for Dia de Muertos. The necklace could be worked up in either the original black or deep red, or even a combination of both. Of course, you dont have to keep those colors either. It would be easy enough to work it in any color youd like. The pattern is very simple, and theres no assembly as the piece is worked as you go along.
