"Need some ‘Elf-help’ this Christmas? This easy Elf hat will keep you festive whilst you work on all those Christmas preparations! The presents will be wrapped and potatoes peeled in no time at all whilst channeling the Elf spirit!! This is the perfect project for a beginner using simple stitches. It uses chunky yarn and a 9mm hook which means it works up in just over an hour! The pattern its worked top down in a spiral and includes links to a video tutorial for the bobble stitch used in the brim."

This is a great project for Beginners because it requires the use of two different textures of yarn as well as two hook sizes. The body of the hat seems to be worked in Continuous Rounds although the designer doesnt explicitly state this. So if you dont have any stitch markers, you can always substitute large paper clips (I like the brightly colored ones).

I love this hat. It is the time of year when we get ready to get ready for Christmas. What is a better way to show that Holiday spirit than to don a cute hat such as this and get to helping with the holiday decorations.
