Sunflower Homespun Purse
"Two colors of blue form stripes in the body of this purse. A yellow is used in the bottom of the bag as well as in the petals of the Sunflower. The sunflower is appliqued along the top edge of one side of the purse and brown yarn is embroidered across its center."

I guess it the type of yarn used here that gives the purse the "fuzzy" or "blurred" look. I can see it is a summer purse maybe in a different color but I see this color scheme as a fall or winter item, even with the sunflower.

I do not know about you, but I would much rather have a purse like this than to spend a lot of money on designer bags. Making my own instead of making a designer purchase allows me to have much more money in my pocket.

This bag looks so familiar to me. Im not sure if Ive run across this project before, or if it reminds me of something Ive seen a long time ago. Maybe its those tortoise shell handles! Be advised that the link leads you to a splash page for the designers blog, not the pattern itself. From there, you can either choose to see the pattern in text form, or download the .pdf. There arent any photos, but the instructions are clearly written.

This is so cute. I Make purses and sell them online. I knit, crochet and knit them. But crochet is my first love. To me it's easier, faster and more flexible. This pattern is going on my to do list. I can think of many ways to alter it for different seasons.
