If it isnt so, it certainly does look like its fairly sturdy. The thick handles are worked directly as part of the bag, and since the designer calls for using doubled yarn, there is very little risk of breakage unless youre planning to carry a bowling ball in it. That open webbed texture also allows the bag to be washed and dried quickly in case of spills.

This is a very practical bag, but keep in mind that his bag does not work up quickly and it is not a quick fix. It is also worked with holding two strands of yarn together to insure that it is a very strong market or even a beach bag. It does have a solid bottom so you dont have to worry about small items falling out.
