Now this is unique. I have never seen anything like it. But after reading the directions I can see that it is going to be an easy project. I think it would be something to carry in my car. It would come in handy for many occasions . Thank you for sharing.

What an awesome idea. You can stash all things you need for a day at the beach or a picnic in the park into the bag and then use it as your blanket when you get there. This is a very simple tutorial and contains a lot of pictures and there is a video tutorial included with it also.

This is a great idea - a blanket that turns into a bag. It would be good for an beach outing, a park stroll, anything that would be handy for you to lay out a blanket just to relax. The instructions look easy to follow and the yarn is easy to find. I love the colors they use but you can use an combination you want. Thank you.

Love, love, love! GImme, gimme, gimme! Even MORE beautiful than the mandala hybrid blanket/bag is the lapghan that she's displayed so artfully across the chair. I just LOVE the look of a round afghan or lapghan, and I have always wanted to do one. I attempted once and it did not look right at all. I trust Mama In A Stitch to provide an accurate pattern for me to follow! I'm saving this one for sure.
