Touch of Teal Afghan

"The Touch of Teal Afghan… This is a super easy crochet pattern using only front loop single crochet and back loop double crochet to create the base… The edging is a simple shell pattern. Using a super bulky yarn, this really goes quickly!!! This is a perfect project to make while watching Tv.. Also this makes a perfect gift and will look great in any room of the house!! I used Michael’s Loops and Threads Country Loom Yarn in Clear Skies."

Beginner

Crochet HookN/15 or 10 mm hook

Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

Finished Size 105″ x 40″ ** This design is very stretchy so the afghan will be able to cover a much larger area.

The color is a very light and muted pastel. I wish it were done in a little deeper and saturated teal, but that is my choice only. The blanket itself cannot be simpler to make! If you can confidently do a double crochet you will be able to make this for yourself. If you'd like to use your money well spent and give this as a gift, it will be a quite impressive one at that! You can choose any kind of border you like, really, or none at all if the shell border is too frilly for you. I happen to like fringe, so I may go that route.
