Spicy Diamond Blanket
Spice up your crochet with the Spicy Diamond Blanket. This blanket gets its name from the colors used because they look like pumpkin spice, cinnamon, etc. It's a cool twist on a harlequin blanket with its diamond crochet motif. This blanket pattern would make a fantastic fall blanket or you can change up the colors to make it match the decor in your house or your favorite colors. We think it's really unique because we don't see a lot of diamond patterns.

I dont make a lot of afghans (too much time and yarn and not nearly enough appreciation) but every once in a while a special project catches my eye. The diamond shape is so different from other patch style afghans, and I love how the diamond itself is echoed within each patch. The designer provides a wonderful color chart to lay out the afghan, or you can follow her suggestion and make your own with different colors.

For some reason, this spicy diamond blanket reminds me of an article of clothing I had as a child. I cannot put my finger on it, but I just love this afghan. I like to make items that are not run of the mill and this one sure does fit that bill.

I don't have any fall color themed blankets for my home. This one is such a smart design using diamond shapes instead of granny squares. I would love to work with the Scheepjes linen cotton yarn. I see so many projects which use this yarn! THe colors are amazing to look at. This is the kind of crochet project I'd like to complete, and I don't really care how long it takes me!

This is very pretty. I love patterns like this that everyone in the family will love and actually use. This is definitely on my to do list for our family room / den. The tips on blocking were very helpful. I love that diagrams are included also. I have started crocheting almost exclusively using them.

The color combination on this Spicy Diamond Blanket is wonderful. It looks cozy. I have made motif style projects before but I am concerned about how piecing these together at the points will work out. I'm still new to crochet and have a lot to learn so perhaps I'll begin with a few triangles on a tablemat before I attempt this blanket.

I have done a granny squares blanket and I am curious how to go about making the diamond pieces and connecting one to another to make this beautiful Spicy Diamond Blanket. One day I'll be able to make this for my own use, for a gift or for business. This blanket will surely be a great conversation piece of the moms and daughters of the house.
