Fireworks Throw

"The Fireworks Throw is a great big blanket to cozy up under and watch a movie (or fireworks). It's thick and soft, made with high-quality acrylic yarn so it's easy to wash, and the stitch pattern is so pretty! It makes a wonderful gift for the holidays or just to tell that special aunt, "Thank you". This pattern calls for a bulky weight yarn, and the one listed in the pattern says "super bulky". The yarn I used was just a little thin for a Super Bulky but either will work fine."

Is this the stitch called the Catherine's Wheel? IF it is not, it sure resembles it! I thought it it would something difficult to do, but it seems like it is easy! They look like little fireworks explosions, don't they? It is a very large, full sized blanket, too, which is great for families.
