This pattern has tutorial photos to help with the written instructions. The only stitches you'll need to know are single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. You can give these poinsettias as gifts or as donations to your church. Add a tea light sized battery powered candle and you have a beautiful holiday decoration that you can use for many years to come!"

I was not sure exactly what the deal was with these at first sight. I understand now that she has used plastic rings from gallon jugs as her form for the poinsettia flower. She crocheted around it. Her idea to place the completed flower OVER an inexpensive tealight is genius. I can see these scattered on the buffet or dining table during the entire winter season, not just Christmas.

The holidays are just around the corner and these are a great little pattern for Upcycled Poinsettias! These are super cute with the battery operated votive candle underneath them. You can pick those up at a local dollar store. The stitches you need to know for this pattern are the single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.
