Rose Bud Poncho

"The Rose Bud Poncho is a great layering piece to wear over a turtle neck or long sleeved blouse in the cooler weather or over a tank top in the warmer weather. This poncho is designed to be over-sized and is available in sizes S - 3XL. You will need a size 4 medium weight yarn and an H/8 (5.00 mm) crochet hook. This is an Intermediate level pattern. The pattern consists of two rectangular panels that are seamed together along the shoulders and below the arms. So there are armholes, but no real sleeves to add on."

I would like to challenge myself in crocheting this beautiful Rose Bud Poncho. However, on this allfreecrochet.com website, I keep waiting forever for the circle to stop so that I can print the pattern. Then I give up because the wait is so long. I don't have problems with other websites. Hope I can eventually get this pattern and other ones since the artwork is gorgeous. Thank you. maschoen1941@gmail.com------------------M. A. Schoen

I'm going to attempt to make this for my daughter-in-law, but I'm not sure what size. She has a 40" bust and her hips measure 43.5" . I'm not sure if I should make a Medium, Large or XL and could use some guidance. Also, I'd like to add scalloped edging around he neckline and arms. Any suggestions?

This rose bud poncho is so versatile and pretty, and I can not wait to make one! I think it will look great over a tank top or turtle next. I like to wear layered clothing when I travel, as I get hot easily, so this will be perfect for me. I am a slightly better than beginner crocheter, so I am looking forward to the challenge. If this works out well, I will be making this in several different colors!

This poncho is just beautiful to me. In fact, in my eyes, it is not really a poncho. I would call this a tunic! And she has made it so easy for anyone to make! Once you memorize the four row repeat, you can just plug away, making two rectangles, and that is it! I see that she has added a simple single crochet around each arm hole created to give it definition. I'd make this in a dark teal -)
