Oversized Filet Crochet Poncho
"This oversized crochet poncho, made with DK-weight acrylic yarn, combines the coziness of an afghan with the style of a sweater. So you can pretend you’re snuggled up under your blanket and still look put-together. If you’re new to making garments, the construction of this crochet poncho couldn’t be simpler. You just make two large rectangles, which you then sew together, leaving an opening in the middle for your head. That’s it! This poncho makes a great first filet crochet project. The lacy diamond pattern looks impressive but is actually made with just basic double crochets and chains. This crochet poncho is as easy to throw on as it is to make. You can dress it up or down to complement any number of outfits. Leave it loose or accessorize with a thin belt for a more fitted look."
