Yarn is Different

"Yarn is different? Oh, yes it is! I know that overwhelming feel of walking down the yarn aisle for the first time. “What do I need?” “What do I want?” “I wonder if this is a good one?” “What am I looking at?” “What should I get?” I’ve been there! I know exactly how you feel, and it’s completely okay. Actually, it’s normal. I’m going to take you on a fun adventure of learning yarn!"

One thing I regret about teaching my senior ladies is that we cant just pile in the activities bus and take a field trip to the craft store. I did the next best thing and piled as many different types of yarn as I could into a big storage tub and took it to class. Most of my senior ladies started crocheting when acrylic yarn was just coming out, and only available in 4 ply. They were amazed at whats out there now. (So am I!)
