This can only give so much warmth. I don't think this Wrap it Up Crochet Sweater will serve its purpose.

So happy I found this Wrap it up. I was just at a friends house and she was showing me her much-loved wrap. Maybe I should say loved way to much. It was pretty well worn and stretched out. I will be making a couple of these up for her. Now off to the fun of figuring out some perfect yarns and colors especially for her. There is nothing better than being able to make someone a gift with your own hand. That you can pick out the perfect texture and color.

I love crochet projects like this that yield such a beautiful item. When you read the directions, there are only a handful of steps and there is no way you can go wrong with this. No matter the color yarn you select, you will get a lot of use from a project like this.

The texture of this yarn and this stitch looks great. This is a great and unique design. A new way to wear an over-sized cowl maybe? This sweater wrap looks cute, looks warm, and looks easy to make. I think almost any cowl pattern could be enlarged slightly to be worn in this manner for a new look.

Here is another example of the faux knit effect of the back post double crochet. It really helps to achieve the similar stretchiness of a knit item. The oatmeal heather colored yarn makes me feel like wrapping this around me and sitting by the fire. It will look especially chic while wearing a slim long sleeved tissue weight tee.

One of the ladies in my craft group made this and it really looks nice. I am glad I found this pattern. It will be good for the office when it gets a bit chilly and I just need a bit of warmth. The stitch pattern also makes it look classy. I have a dress form at home so I can use that at the end. Thank you for the pattern and the comments.

I think the principle of this is unique. However being a full figured girl, I think I'd be pulling at this all day. However for my fashion forward cousin that lives in the big city, this would be great. I may even get a few order requests if I make one in a unique color and fabric.

What if you increased the width of it and length? I think you could make it perfect for your body and enjoy the same pattern )

I love how this is basically a shawl in sweater form! You won't have to worry about it randomly falling off your shoulders. It looks so cozy and cute!
