"I love a good cozy blanket. But wearing them out seems to be frowned upon. Which is basically what led me to come up with the Juno Shrug. A blanket I can wear in public. One of my great moments of genius if you ask me. It works up super quick with chunky yarn and is truly the coziest go to sweater in my closet. I keep another one in the car. I wear it all the time and get so many compliments and feel a little guilty knowing the origin is that I just wanted to be able to wear a blanket in public."

I made this shrug in small/medium, which the pattern states is 43" wide. After I washed it and put it on, the width had changed to 52" wide -- way too large for me to wear now. Using the #6 yarn weight and Q-Hook makes a very stretchy garment that will not hold the measurements stated in the pattern.

Just the other day a friend of mine asked me about a shrug and was hard to understand just what she was talking about. Sometimes I can be a little thick. So guess what I just found on line? Boy won't she be surprised at the link I send to her email. I already know she will want me to make her one or two.

My sentiments exactly about blankets. If there is one thing that I do not like is to be cold. We live in an area that it does not get really cold and I work from home so I pretty much plan my ventures out of doors. This is a great article to have when I dash to the grocery store and back. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

I like the stitch, the texture, and the yarn used. I can almost feel the softness of the shrug. I'm amused by her story that she just wanted to wear a blanket in public that's why she made this Juno Shrug. Necessity is the mother of invention so the author was able to invent her own accessory as a result of her need. Awesome invention.

This is the perfect solution for any soccer mom! Or baseball mom, or any other outdoor sport. I mean, it is a great alternative to lugging around a giant blanket for sure! There are so many great color options, I am thinking this is something I will work on right away for the fall soccer season!

Soooo excited to see that this pattern is designated "easy"! I've been wanting to make a garment but they are more difficult that up to at this point in my crocheting. I can tell this pattern is as natural, earthy and folksy as it looks! There are so many enticing yarn colors to use for this shrug like Kale, Oatmeal, Barley, Graphite, Marble, Gray Marble, Wood, Obsidian, or Granite. Choosing which one may be the hardest part of this project!

A blanket I can wear in public? I love a good cozy blanket. But wearing them out seems to be frowned upon. I dont understand why. This looks like it works up super quick and looks like it is so cozy. This is a great beginner project because it uses simple basic crochet stitches and bulky yarn.

Wow, here is something really new and fresh to the world of shrugs, cocoons, and kimonos. I can never get enough of these wearables! My favorite one she models is the ruby red version. It really pops on otherwise gray and drab winter clothing. A nice diagram, and comprehensive pattern details are included. Thank you for sharing this new one!
