This necklace wasnt specifically designed for St. Patricks Day, so it would be easy to replace some of the circles for shamrocks. What really struck me was the shading strip the designer used to show how she chose her colors. I am horrible at matching colors, but the next time Im at the home improvement store, Im grabbing a bunch of paint sample strips! I never thought of using that trick, and I can take the strips with me to the craft store to choose yarn.

We are very BIG into our Irish ancestry and have a good party on St. Pattys day. One year I crocheted St. Pattys hats. This pattern I could get one done for all the girls very quickly. You could do a crochet chain to add the circles on to if you wanted to.

Hi Stephanie! What a great idea for a quick gift for St. Patrick's Day. I like it! Please let us know how the necklaces turn out. Megan, AFC Editor
