This dress would be the perfect summer dress for both of my 20 something daughters but it was nice that they included the sizes for larger people as well! I agree Morehouse17 this is a timeless pattern and if cared for correctly will give years of service! I'm sure my daughters will want different colors because even though they're sisters they have definitely have their preferences! After looking up the yarn I'd say they have a lovely patch of colors for us to choose from. I'll probably be doing one in light pink and one in green.

What a beautiful summer dress. I really love it when I find a pattern that what I consider to be timeless. This dress will have many years of wear if the garment is cared for. I love the color just as much as the dress itself. I can not wait to get started on this design.

What a beautiful summer dress. The title says it all. Being the step mom to two beautiful twins, I know just the one to make this for. They have such different taste in style and I love that because I get the chance to make different style clothing.

What a pretty pattern. It's not hard at all. I read the directions and I feel confident that I can do it. I live in Florida and this is something that can be worn year around. It's light weight and open.i think I can also make a purse in the same pattern .

Retro Summer Dress is very appropriate for the coming summer months in my part of the world. This is a very pleasant sight to see in summer and actually a very comfortable summer wear. Would look great in a brighter color as well.

I love retro and vintage and boho. I was a little disappointed that there is no picture showing up on this page and that I have to go to the bloggers site to see if I would be interested in this dress, but that didnt last too long because I usually visit all the blogs anyway. It would have saved me a little time in this case though as I had already found this treasure a while back.

Hi Hippie Chick, We transferred templates, and it's causing some images to not display properly. Please bear with us as we work to get the images back up. :) Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

Nana never wore a dress like this. And looking through the dress patterns there are actually very few for adults.

It is one thing to start a small project but I have always been afraid of starting a larger project such as a sweater or a dress! I have been contemplating on trying one or the other. I just love the way this one looks on the model, however I have a few more lumps and bumps but I may give it a whirl.

Clicked the link to get the instructions for this pretty dress and see that it takes me to DROPS Design patterns. I love their patterns. They are always so very well illustrated and complete with in depth instructions and pictures. Saving or printing a pattern from their site has always been very easy and so far I have not had any issues with their projects.

This Retro Summer Dress is so beautiful I so want to make it. I have had this pattern in my saved box for over a year now. I think after reading and re-reading this pattern that it will come out nicely. I need to buy the yarn and just give in and make it. I just hope it doesn't take years to make due to the length of the dress. Has anyone made this beautiful dress? I would hate to start it to find out it doesn't work out. Thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I love this! Unfortunately I am not at all confident that I would be able to pull it off (making it successfully I mean, I would be happy to wear it!). Has anyone ever done a dress project? Was the dress heavy to wear? Thanks!

That's really great cool summer dress with bright colors and crochet pattern. http//www.cupissima.com
