Tunisian Extended Knit Scarf
"The stitch pattern creates a warm and elegant pattern that resembles stockinette stitch in knitting. The Tunisian Purl Stitch borders and the Extended Knit Stitch make this Tunisian crochet project unlikely to curl. This scarf is designed to meet the donation requirements of the Red Scarf Project, a program of Foster Care to Success which provides care packages to foster youth in colleges and training programs."

This scarf was created for a charity called the Red Scarf Project that benefits foster children about to age out of the program. Ive never heard of it, but will definitely keep in mind for this year as they only accept donations between September and December. The author provides instructions for this pattern as well as a link to the Red Scarf guidelines and additional patterns. Please check this outI know some aged out fosters, and its not easy for many of them.
