It's cute and easy and another way to use up your yarn. But after looking at it for awhile the word belt popped into my head. I think my grand daughter would really love having a belt made like this. She loves flowers and the colors pink and purple so this grand mother has a project to make!

This is a clever scrapbuster! I would start with a Magic Circle instead of the chain method though. Ive actually worked similar projects by creating a bunch of various colored centers, and leaving the final stitch in that row unfinished. That lets me keep better track of how many of each center I have, then I can attach the next color and continue on.
